Who are Card Cleaning Australia & what is the Card Cleaning & Review Service?

Despite our meticulous care when handling your cards, they can be less than perfect when first pulled from a pack. Ben and his team at Card Cleaning Australia will professionally clean your card within grading company guidelines to ensure your card has the best chance at its highest grade. Following the clean, the card is carefully inspected under light and magnification with a detailed report compiled and presented to you to give you all the information you need to decide if you wish to grade, consign or simply just keep the card as is. 

Who are The Hobby Australia & What is the Card Grading Service?

The Hobby Australia Cards and Collectables were the first PSA Certified Dealer in the Southern Hemisphere and a Platinum PSA Dealer, sending thousands of cards to PSA every month across all categories. We have joined forces with them to allow you to submit cards hit straight from a break via their industry-leading submission service. All shipments are fully insured to and from PSA and grading costs include all associated fees, taxes and duties associated with grading your cards.

Fees & Charges

A $10 per card fee for Card Cleaning Australia Clean & Review service is payable directly to CCA at the time of review.

Grading Fees & Charges are payable to The Hobby upon return of your graded cards. The amount will depend on grading company and service chosen. A full breakdown can be found here. Total fees include grading fees, postage to and from grading company, insurance, processing fees, GST, duties and associated costs.

The fees do not include return shipping costs from The Hobby Australia to you and are payable when your cards are ready to ship. You can choose the level of service (regular or express) and the amount of insurance coverage you want.

International customers are welcome to have graded cards returned to us to add to your stack.

Note: At our full discretion, cards will be withheld until all outstanding invoices have been paid. Grading will not commence if there are outstanding Cleaning & Review fees.

What Cards Can I Submit For Grading?

Cards can only be submitted via this program while they are with Neon Trading Cards. The NeonTC domestic shipping cycle runs Monday – Sunday, shipped the following week. Once shipping has commenced, no further submissions for the previous week will be accepted.

You are welcome to submit cards currently in your possession directly to Card Cleaning Australia & The Hobby Australia but at this point in time Neon Trading Cards are not offering a middleman service for your personally held cards.

Estimated Turnaround Times

Cards are delivered to CCA from NTC for clean & review weekly. You will receive the clean and review report within 2 weeks of CCA receiving the card in line with the monthly grading submissions.

The estimated grading turnaround times vary for each submission category and grading company. These can be found at www.thehobby.com.au

Any cards that are not submitted for consignment or grading following the Card Review will be returned to NeonTC the following week and posted back to customers in the regular NeonTC shipping cycle. 

Grading Program Terms & Conditions

Consignment & Grading cards submitted to The Hobby Australia Cards and Collectables by CCA in accordance with the grading due dates outlined for each grading company at www.thehobby.com.au/grading.

Customers will need to complete a grading submission form with The Hobby Australia Cards and Collectables. All cards for grading will go into the next available regular monthly submission after submission form is completed. Each submission due date can be found at www.thehobby.com.au/grading.

NTC, CCA & The Hobby Australia Cards and Collectables make no guarantees of turn-around time for card grading. We will make every effort to ensure cards are submitted as soon as possible but have no control over the time grading companies take to carry out grading and return a submission.
