Arizona Diamondbacks
Overview: Slade Caldwell is one of the big chases from last years draft and checks several of the key indicators as a dynamic high school first round pick with speed and power potential. He’s off to a great start to his pro career also. Jansel Luis and Bo Walker are both solid secondary chases as hitters with some upside.
Auto Chases - ALL 1st Bowman!
- Slade Caldwell - Tier 1 Prospect
- Jansel Luis - Honorable Mention
- Bo Walker
- Ricardo Yan
Athletics
Overview: Though he doesn’t have chrome rookie autos Jacob Wilson is a big chase with the Red Rated rookie card and a legit shot at rookie of the year. He’s got a bunch of SP inserts to chase and insert autos. Nick Kurtz is the best of the chrome prospect autos even though they aren’t first and he also has some insert autos as well. Of the first autos, Simpson and Echavarria are both interesting.
Auto Chases
- Dylan Fien - 1st Bowman
- Nate Nankil - 1st Bowman
- Steven Echavarria - 1st Bowman
- Will Simpson - 1st Bowman
- Nick Kurtz - Tier 1 Prospect
- Jacob Wilson (Top RC)
Atlanta Braves
Overview: Top first chase and rookie chase are both pitchers albeit both are very interesting pitchers. Fuentes throws really hard and has generated some buzz and Schwellenbach has a chance to be a top 10 pitcher in the majors. Insert autos help out with Acuna chase, but those will be rare.
Auto Chases
- Didier Fuentes - 1st Bowman
- Spencer Schwellenbach - Tier 2 RC
- Ronald Acuna
- Cam Caminiti
Baltimore Orioles
Overview: Coby Mayo is a very interesting rookie chase and brings a bunch of auto and insert chases. Aron Estrada is playing well this year, but is very small limiting his upside. Brooks Robinson retrofractor is also a fun chase.
Auto Chases
- Aron Estrada - 1st Bowman
- Coby Mayo - Tier 1 Rookie
- Jackson Holliday
- Samuel Basallo
Boston Red Sox
Overview: Franklin Arias and Jhostynxon Garcia are both seen as fringe tier one/high end tier two chases. Arias checks a lot of hobby boxes and Garcia has a lot going for him with power, speed and defense. Conrad Cason is a bigtime sleeper who might have the most upside of the entire group, but he just started his pro career this past week and D’Angelo Ortiz isn't much of a prospect, but is David Ortiz’s son.
Auto Chases - All 1st Bowman
- Franklin Arias - Tier 1
- Jhostynxon Garcia - Tier 1/2
- Conrad Cason - Tier 3
- D’Angelo Ortiz
Chicago Cubs
Weak checklist with only one prospect and rookie auto. Long is old for the level and Alcantara is raw for a rookie, but has upside. A couple insert autos augment the chases, but overall a pretty light list.
Auto Chases
- Jonathon Long - 1st Bowman
- Kevin Alcantara - RC
- Matt Shaw
Chicago White Sox
Smaller checklist but Montgomery autos even as non firsts should do well. Hagen Smith has insert chases including a SSP crystallized which is a nice boost and Mogollon is a hitter first auto to chase as well.
Auto Chases
- Braden Montgomery - 1st White Sox Auto
- Javier Mogollon - 1st Bowman
Cincinnati Reds
Overview: Stafura and Lowder give them a solid 1st and solid rookie chase, though, the latter is a pitcher. Secondary prospect autos are very light, but a couple of insert autos, including an Elly one, boost up the spot.
Auto Chases
- Sammy Stafura - 1st Bowman - Tier 2
- Esmith Pineda - 1st Bowman
- Ichiro Cano Hernandez - 1st Bowman
- Naibel Mariano - 1st Bowman
- Chase Burns - Prospect Auto
- Rhett Lowder - RC
- Elly De La Cruz
Cleveland Guardians
Overview: Huge volume to chase, but none of the firsts are huge names. Mobley and Wilkinson are probably the pick of the bunch with Mobley a high upside high school arm whose career is just starting. Wilkinson isn’t that highly regarded, but is nicknamed tugboat because he’s a big unit which is fun. Bazzana having chrome prospect autos and inserts is a really nice boost giving a high end chase.
Auto Chases
- Travis Bazzana - Tier 1 Prospect Auto
- Alex Mooney - 1st Bowman
- Chase Mobley - 1st Bowman - Honorable Mention
- Cameron Sullivan - 1st Bowman
- Esteban Gonzalez - 1st Bowman
- Jackson Humphries - 1st Bowman
- Jose Pirela - 1st Bowman
- Luis Merejo - 1st Bowman
- Matt Wilkinson - 1st Bowman
Colorado Rockies
Overview: Finally the Rockies have a chase - Charlie Condon is a massive chase as the third overall pick in last year’s draft. He checks a ton of hobby boxes, theoretically, with huge power potential. Andujar is a semi-interesting young shortstop, but this spot is about Condon.
Auto Chases
- Charlie Condon - 1st Bowman - Tier 1
- Ashly Andujar - 1st Bowman
- Adael Amador
- Drew Romo
Detroit Tigers
Three really good first chases including Kevin McGonigle who’s a top five guy. Briceno and Montillo are both very interesting hitting prospects and Jackson Jobe is a tier one rookie chase as well even though he’s a pitcher. They also have a bunch of insert chases making it a really high end spot.
Auto Chases
- Kevin McGonigle - 1st Bowman - Tier 1
- Jose Briceno - 1st Bowman - Tier 1/2
- Franyerber Montilla - 1st Bowman - Honorable Mention
- Jack Penney - 1st Bowman
- Jackson Jobe - RC
- Jace Jung
Houston Astros
Middle of the pack team. Biggest chase is probably a non-1st auto, but Walker Janek was a first round pick last year and is interesting. Cam Smith autos have been doing numbers with the Cubs and I expect these astros ones to be sought after also.
Auto Chases
- Cam Smith - Non-1st, but first Houston auto
- Walker Janek - 1st Bowman - Honorable Mention
- Jancel Villarroel - 1st Bowman
- Shay Whitcomb RC
Kansas City Royals
Caglianone stuff is going for a ton right now as he’s hitting really well. Even as non-first autos these will be highly sought after and command a premium. Ugarte is the pick of the chases of the 1st autos as an 18-year-old middle infielder with upside.
Total chrome prospect autos: 4
- Jac Caglianone - Tier 1 Prospect
- Hyungchan Um - 1st Bowman
- Jhonayker Ugarte - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Javier Vaz - 1st Bowman
- Bobby Witt
Los Angeles Angels
Solid volume with six chrome prospect autos including a couple of interesting 1sts in George Klassen and Hayden Alvarez. Christian Moore non-first autos are a fun chase as are several insert autos including Mike Trout.
Auto Chases
- Cole Fontenelle - 1st Bowman
- Christian Moore - Prospect Tier 1
- George Klassen - 1st Bowman Tier 3
- Hayden Alvarez
- Lucas Ramirez
- Caden Dana RC
- Mike Trout
Los Angeles Dodgers
Overview: Dodgers are always loaded and this is no different. Roki Sasaki is the biggest chase as these are his first Dodgers card and get the rookie symbol. He has a multitude of SSP inserts and autos to chase. Eduardo Quintero gives them a high end tier one 1st chase and Zyhir Hope is a potential monster and has his first autos (sort of - see note below). They also have a bunch of other case hit chases including a couple for Ohtani and Hyeseong Kim rookies (no autos).
Auto Chases
- Eduardo Quintero 1st Bowman - Tier 1/2
- Roki Sasaki - Biggest RC in Product!
- Zyhir Hope Prospect (Non-1st, but first Dodgers autos and basically first high print run autos (only one 1st Cubs auto of his has shown up and many think it wasn’t supposed to be in the product last year)
- Hyun-Seok Jang - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Jesus Tillero - 1st Bowman
- Victor Rodrigues - 1st Bowman
Miami Marlins
For the first time in a while the Marlins have some big chases with PJ Morlando and Thomas White both tier 1/2 chases. Morlando was a first round pick and has big power potential and White is a high-end pitching prospect.
Auto Chases
- Thomas White - 1st Bowman - Tier 1/2
- PJ Morlando - 1st Bowman - Tier 1/2
- Fabian Lopez
- Connor Norby
Milwaukee Brewers
Top chase team in product. Jesus Made is the top chase in the product and any cards of his will carry a massive premium. He’s a top 25ish prospect in the game already and he’s only 17 years old. The upside here is insane and he alone carries the spot.
Luis Pena is also a really good chase as another 18-year-old who should be pushing onto top 100 lists in short order given how good he’s playing. Yophery Rodriguez is another interesting outfield prospect who was just traded to the Red Sox and checks a lot of hobby boxes.
Made has a bunch of SSP insert chases and Jackson Chourio and Cooper Pratt insert autos are another fun chase.
Auto Chases
- Jesus Made - 1st Bowman - Tier 1
- Luis Pena - 1st Bowman - Tier 1/2
- Yophery Rodriguez - 1st Bowman - Tier 2/3
- Jadyn Fielder
- Jackson Chourio
- Cooper Pratt
Minnesota Twins
Solid depth with seven autos, but lacks a big first chase. Kyle DeGarge was their first round pick and is hitting well so far, but his upside might be limited. Khadim Diaw has more upside, but is a catcher and a few of the other chases like Andrew Morris and Payton Eeles are interesting. Walker Jenkins is a solid non-first auto chase and they have a couple SSP and insert auto chases.
Auto Chases
- Andrew Morris - 1st Bowman
- Caden Kendle - 1st Bowman
- Cory Lewis - 1st Bowman
- Kyle DeBarge - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Khadim Diaw - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Payton Eeles - 1st Bowman
- Walker Jenkins - Prospect
- Brooks Lee
New York Mets
Jonah Tong is one of the better pitching prospect chases in the product, but pitcher limits his upside. Luisangel Acuna is a very interesting rookie chase and has a bunch of SSP inserts and autos to chase. Juan Soto has a SSP Anime and as one of his first higher end Mets card is also a nice chase.
Auto Chases
- Jonah Tong - 1st Bowman Tier 2
- Luisangel Acuna - RC Tier 1
New York Yankees
- Overview: Lot of SSP insert chases, but autos are a tad light. Perez and Flores are both top 20 prospects in the system and have some upside, but as catchers, their upside is limited. They have a bunch of SSP chases including Anime’s of Aaron Judge, Derek Jeter and Hideki Matsui which give the spot some other fun chases.
Auto Chases - ALL 1st Bowman
- Edgleen Perez
- Engelth Urena
- Rafael Flores
- Richard Matic
Philadelphia Phillies
Aaron Escobar is a fun sleeper and is off to a great start, but their checklist as a whole is very light. Beyond him they have one other auto and Bryce Harper SSP insert as the main chases
Auto Chases - Both 1st Bowman
- Aroon Escobar - Honorable Mention
- Wen-Hui Pan
Pittsburgh Pirates
Overview: Biggest chases are probably Konnor Griffin non-1st autos and SSP inserts and Paul Skenes insert autos. Both of those will carry a massive premium given their performances so far in their career. The chrome prospect autos are on the light side, but Nick Yorke rookies are also a decent chase.
Auto Chases
- Konnor Griffin - Prospect Tier 1
- Mitch Jebb - 1st Bowman
- Tsung-Che Cheng - 1st Bowman
- Paul Skenes
San Diego Padres
Lacks depth, but a few decent first autos and several autos and inserts for Leo De Vries make up for that. Hightower is an interesting high school infielder whose debut was delayed due to injury and Cruz is very young, but high upside pitching prospect.
Auto Chases
- Cobb Hightower - 1st Bowman - Tier 2
- Humberto Cruz - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Leo De Vries - Prospect
San Francisco Giants
Light checklist overall, but Level is an interesting player as an 18-year-old who had a very good season in the DSL last year. He’s a long way away, but there’s upside.
Auto Chases - Both Bowman 1sts
- Jacob Bresnahan
- Jhonny Level - Honorable Mention
Seattle Mariners
- Very light checklist with only one chrome prospect auto and one rookie base chase. Emerson insert autos are nice, but the biggest chase is probably the Ichiro anime and anime kanji variation which will command a huge premium.
Auto Chases
- Jared Sundstrom - 1st Bowman
- Colt Emerson - RC
St. Louis Cardinals
Very balanced spot with a ton of chases led by JJ Weatherholt who is one of the top three chases in the entire product and has got off to a really good start to his pro career. He has a bunch of chases including his 1st auto and several SSP inserts.
Quinn Mathews is a high-end pitching prospect and another really good first chase and Chen-Wei Lin is very interesting as a huge pitcher who throws very hard.
Steve Carlton retrofactor and retrofractor autographs are another really good chase for this spot as are Thomas Saggesse rookies.
Auto Chases
- JJ Weatherholt - 1st Bowman - Tier 1
- Quinn Mathews - 1st Bowman - Tier 1
- Chen-Wei Lin - 1st Bowman - Honorable Mention
- Steve Carlton Retrofractor
- Thomas Saggese RC
Tampa Bay Rays
Deep checklist with seven chrome prospect autos including Sebastian Walcott (non-1st) who is one of the top prospects in the game. Top chase is probably Kumar Rocker rookie base, autos and SSP inserts.
Of the 1st prospect auto chases, Malcolm Moore, Winston Santos and Yeremi Cabrera are all interesting, but haven't established themselves as top chases yet.
Auto Chases
- Cody Freeman - 1st Bowman
- Esteban Mejia - 1st Bowman
- Jesus Lopez - 1st Bowman
- Malcolm Moore - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Sebastian Walcott - Prospect
- Winston Santos - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Yeremi Cabrera - 1st Bowman Honorable Mention
- Kumar Rocker - RC
Texas Rangers
Overview: Lower end team. Lacks a major first chase, but Dreiling has some hype as he’s a well known player from his college days and they’ve got some vet SSP insert chases as well
Total 1st autos: 2
Autos/base
- Tier 3
Dylan Dreiling (21, OF, 2/65) - Others
Casey Cook (22, OF, 3/103)
Toronto Blue Jays
- Very light checklist with only two chrome prospect autos and one Vlad SSP insert chase. Neither 1st prospect auto is a major guy, but Orelvis Martinez rookie base chase is ok.
Auto Chases - Both 1st Bowman
- Charles McAdoo
- Sean Keys
Washington Nationals
This spot is all about the rookies as Dylan Crews and James Wood are all over the product. Both have a multitude of autos and SSP insert chases and red rookie redemption chases. Wood is off to a great start so he will command a premium and Crews is coming along after a slow start.
Auto Chases
- Caleb Lomavita - 1st Bowman
- Dylan Crews - Top RC
- James Wood - Top RC
